So, this is it. I've made it to final year and it's only took me three years already. I want this next year to fly by and be done with, but the thought of all the stress and responsibility I've got coming up is making me want to press the big exit button and disappear. But I'll be okay.
What made me want to be a nurse then? I took health and social care in college, didn't pay attention much being 17 years old, then suddenly we were having to apply for university. I looked into the role of a nurse and thought 'hmm this is interesting', not knowing anything at all about healthcare and applied for the courses. Three years down the line it's been the best decision I've ever made, I feel I was born to be a nurse! I feel so comfortable around patients and always work 110% ensuring I deliver the best care to them. I'm so excited for my future in nursing with the vast range of opportunities out there, so anyone who's thinking about it, please apply. There will be many people who'll discourage you saying 'why would you want to be a nurse in the NHS now, understaffed, under payed and not respected'. Well when your there with your patients who are thanking you for your kindness and help you'll realise why you wanted to be a nurse.
